NEWTOWN -- Germantown Academy's girls cross country team laced them up for the 70th Annual George School Invitational, where the Patriots finished eighth of 14 teams.

Nieve Keitel '27 timed in at 18:49.70 to finish third as GA had seven runners competing in the Varsity race and a team total of 199 points. Annabelle Steckel '28 was 19th (20:21.50), Lauren Truong '26 64th (23:09.30), Alyssa Burke '27 65th (23:10.80), and Ainsley Howard '25 67th (23:26.60) to round out the scoring.
Also in action was Azzure O'Conner '29 in 81st (24:31.70) and Taryn DiFranco '25 in 86th (24:55.00).
Sanya Bandekar '25 finished fourth overall in the JV race in 23:44.10, while Audrey Mennerich '28 was ninth (24:00.40), Jocelyn Rizzi '27 57th (28:55.30), and Elli Wang '26 67th (29:58.60).
On Tuesday, 9月t. 17, GA will run in an Inter-Ac League Girls Race at Belmont Plateau, site of the Inter-Ac and Pennsylvania Independent Schools Athletic Association Championships, with action getting underway at 4:30pm.
